Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Singapore, Star 360 Holdings is a global lifestyle group with subsidiaries and related companies in 7 markets with over 300 employees, representing world class brands such as ASICS, Birkenstock, Cole Haan and MBT. It owns and operates specialty stores and distributes to more than 12,500 points-of-sale worldwide.
Our Beginnings
The Group is founded by CEO Andy Chaw. With over 20 years of experience in regional sourcing, design, distribution in the retail and wholesale industry, Andy has built an extensive network in the footwear business and is one of the key players in this region. In 2010, Andy won the coveted Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Singapore for demonstrating high resilience and adaptability as an entrepreneur and achieving remarkable growth for the business.
For the past decade, he has built the business upon the core values of passion, integrity and excellence and he continues to lead the Group with these principles. He is known for his sheer tenacity as an astute businessman, and also as a leader driven by passion and a hunger to succeed. As an avid sportsman who represented Singapore in his youth, Andy continues to scale greater heights and set new records in the wholesale and retail playing field.
Business Development
The year 2012 marked a new era for the company. In a move that made headlines and caused waves in the industry, Star 360 Holdings made the global acquisition of MBT, the original physiological footwear brand. Singapore is now the headquarter for the internationally renowned footwear brand and the Group continues to manage the brand's international growth and expansion.
Merely two years later in 2014, the Group made another quantum leap forward in business development. Heliconia Capital Management and Pavilion Capital, two units of Singapore state investor - Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd, took stakes in the company. This was a significant nod to the Group's progress and also a thrilling prelude to new beginnings for Star 360 Holdings as a global player.
The Group was named "Star 360" to be seen as a guiding light and a shining star in the industry. "360" represents the Group's conviction to be an all-rounded player that pushes boundaries every single day. Having had its humble beginnings based solely in the wholesale business, the Group has since grown into an omni-channel powerhouse with all-encompassing core businesses in the wholesale, retail and e-commerce markets.
